FAQs

Felicia Rose
What is the geographic funding footprint of the Felicia Rose Grant Program?

Applicants should be headquartered within and primarily serve Massachusetts communities from Worcester to Boston, or in Southern New Hampshire.

Because site visits are an important part of the application review process, we ask that organizations be no more than a 90-minute drive from Framingham, MA.

Why are site visits required during the review of my organization’s application?

To ensure organizations are a good match for the Felicia Rose Grant Program, a representative will likely conduct a site visit during the application review process. Site visits are designed to learn more about the organization and see your good work in action.

If my organization does not receive a grant, can we reapply in the next grant cycle?

Due to the competitive nature of the Felicia Rose Grant Program, we ask that organizations wait one calendar year before reapplying. For example, if your organization applies in the 2025 Quarter 2 Cycle and is declined, your organization will be eligible again in the 2026 Quarter 2 Cycle.

Can we apply for the Felicia Rose Grant Program if our organization has a fiscal sponsor?

Yes, we will consider requests from organizations that have fiscal sponsors. In such cases, a copy of the memorandum of understanding between the two entities will be requested. The Foundation is more likely, however, to fund organizations that have their own 501(c)(3) statuses because of the transparency and IRS oversight that accompanies that designation.

How are grant funds disbursed?

Felicia Rose Grants are disbursed via Bill.com, a free and secure EFT platform. Should your organization receive a grant, instructions to arrange to accept an electronic transfer will be outlined in your award letter.

I thought the Felicia Rose Grant Program had four cycles annually. Why does the timeline on the Apply page show only two?

The program initially had one large grant cycle and then shifted to four per year. Beginning in 2025, the program will have just two cycles. The number of cycles may change again the future. Please check the website for the most up-to-date details.
